Lowdown and Dirty will be the road condition for a while, and we are full speed ahead, whether you sing along with your fist in the air or throw your hands up and cringe.
Buckle up, buttercup.
These daily “whatever” will be chaotic. Their only purpose is to put pixels to the pad daily, but I will try to TLDR something in the beginning as a summary for those who want to skim. Sunday will be reserved for a weekly recap.
Morning coffee time while watching these chads
I am zooming out as a reminder that my goal is to bring tabletop roleplaying games to the blockchain. Why? Well, pull up a chair…
- I am attempting to solve the problem of solo players’ characters joining random campaigns with provable immutable data (can Cairo solve this?)
- I want to remove centralized choke points from the current marketplace of TTRPGs funding (can blockchain solve this challenge?)
- Lastly, let’s replace the game master with artificial intelligence that doesn’t suck (can this be accomplished without training a new LLM, will fine-tuning and embedding be enough?)
How do I get there? First, I need more developers playing in my sandbox. So I’m pulling a Timothy Leary and filling up my cult bus by using Dojo, Realms, and a game jam (Kist).
Today is finishing the website (it’ll never be finished, but I will make it better for now). If I can do that, I will finish the Deep Lake training to build some Cairo/DoJo datasets soon (TM).
But now I need to go for a bike ride. đŽđ»
OK, I’m back at it… I figured out how to add images to my little dev log; no thanks to the confusing template instructions. Everyone can’t be wrong; maybe it’s me?!?! Anyway, I turned up my image game by using Photoshop generative fill. First, I extended the background of the Midjourney image used in day-001.png, as explained here, and then for day-002.png, I combined two Midjourney pictures like this.
I LIKE THE ROBOTS (Grammarly is even helping me rework these words)
Zooming out again, none of this is to replace perfection, people, or whatever. The robots are here so that I can move a little faster and do a little more with less. Are these images great? Nope. They might not even be good, but they sure are good enough, and that’s how I hope to move fast and break shit.
Ok, Ok, that’s a wrap (on the website)
I finished 99.9% of the “hugo.toml” config, but I still need an About page. Tomorrow, I want to figure out how to sort categories and tags. Lastly, there has to be a better way to display the summary content. I want it to be a formatted tldr, but I am unsure if it is possible.
Goblin hour is what’s left to grind out AI cert.
