TLDR
AI: Microsoft = Max Pain (I went through the exhausting process and can now use Azure AI Studio)
Dojo: Randomness rabbit holes and hex map simplification. The true answer lies in the folds.
Substrate: I will complete something before moving on. I will complete something before moving on.
AI:
Shortly after GitHub Universe was Microsoft Ignite… and I got sucked into their presentations about how EASY it is to use their AI system. Update: It’s not easy. As a recovering MCSE and MCP it should come as no surprise that it’s all awful. I jumped through hoops to sign up like I was the CTO of a nation with a seat at the next G7 summit. Exaggerating but still Exasperating.
I even went through their training, which had me drudging through solutions I had zero interest in learning, hoping that the next ‘module’ would provide me with a clearer understanding of the Azure AI Studio. Nope.
After being comfy in all things open source and eth-land … it is nauseating to venture into the bowls of corp tech.
This slight detour was a HUGE reminder of why OpenAI can’t live in Microsoft. It couldn’t have been born there, and it sure as fuck can’t survive there. I had the exact same challenge trying to get to the promised land of GitHub’s new Copilot features. I switched from personal to business and then to enterprise, hoping to get tapped to use the new toys early, like the cool kids. Prob will not happen, but I’ll shovel a few hundred bucks at the dream.
I should have stayed with my fastAI training years ago, c’est la vie.
DOJO:
My end game keeps getting in the way of my right now game… But I ventured back into how to get dice randomness working with Starknet and Cairo. I went through the usual suspects and some new suspects. I’m leaving this be and returning to my simple hex game.
Substrate:
During my randomness rabbit hole excursion, I stumbled upon BABE, which got me thinking about Madara again. There is something in Substrate that I need to explore, but for now, it’s going in the box kist.
